Warm, straightforward tone and tight bass frequencies. When presented with overdrive distortion, it exhibits a colorful fuzz edge.
Just put this speaker in my Orange CR 35RT, I can hardly believe the improvement that it made! The Orange 35w speaker sounded good, but I could only use the treble on 10, bass on 1, and the mids at 0 to get a nice sound at band level. With this new Mod 50 I can use my eq like the speaker was made for the amp. Now I'm getting a 3D sound that is simply put, amazing!!!! Jensen has always made the best speakers in the world, I have them in all of my amps, never tried the Mod series before, I am glad I did, this speaker has just given me the sound I was hoping for, and then some! Thankyou Jensentone, I LOVE your speakers, keep em coming, and I'll keep playing them!
Great speaker - really wakes up the Fender Champ
I purchased 4 Jensen Mod 10" 50 watt speakers (4 ohms) to build a 4x10 bass cabinet.. These really pumped out the sound and never distorted, nice clear tight punchy bass. The real surprise was when I used my Mesa Heartbreaker head for my guitar! WOW! I usually use a 4x12 Eminence cab, but these Mods REALLY sounded better. Again, nice definition, just the right amount of breakup when driven hard, very articulate. I now recommend the Mods to everyone! Great tone and quality at an even better price.
I bought two Jensen Mod 10-50's to put in an old 3x10 guitar cabinet. Do they ever sound killer! I'm running a SSH Strat through an Orange Tiny Terror into the cab; what an incredible combination it turned out to be! Crunchy and grungy, just how I like it. These speakers are awesome!
I bought a MOD 10-50 for a modified Peavey amp. I had been using a well-known UK brand 10" but wanted better clarity. The MOD 10-50 has given me the clarity I want in spades!
I replaced my stock speaker (Celestion Tube 10) in my LANEY CUB Amp with Jensen Mod 10-50. As I had guessed from the frequency response chart and the description on the site, it sounded amazing. My amp sounds unbelievably good with tight impactful bass and clear highs with slight mid notch soothing to ears. With a month of operation the speaker is opening up more and more with great dynamic response. I heavily recommend it for blues/Jazz/Classic Rock sound.
I replaced a stock 10" (4ohm) speaker in My Orange CR35LDX (solid State amp) All i can say is WOW!!!!! It really came alive. If i didn't know any better, I would swear it was a tube amp. The overdrive always sounded fizzy, and fake when using the stock speaker. With the MOD installed, it breaks up nice and smooth; it actually seems more touch sensitive now also.
I really like the MOD 10. I used it to replace a speaker in a Crate amp. It really changed the sound of the amp from harsh and brittle to a more warm, clear, more musical sound.
I replaced the stock speaker in my Orange Crush 35...I replaced it with a Jensen Mod 50 10 inch...I must say there is a great difference in the sound..Lows mids and highs are much more definitive....This is a great sounding speaker and I have played most out there...Great Product....
