Adopted primarily in the Vibrolux® and Vibroverb® amps of the Brownface and Blackface era, the C10Q is a very easy to drive speaker that breaks up nicely with straightforward biting character. It was also very common in many Silvertone® and Valco® amps. It loves the 2x10 configuration and the floating baffles.
My 2 new C10Qs have added a wonderful huge tone to my 63 Vibroverb RI! They truly complete the Vibroverb and its easy to see why they are standard equipment on most Fender Amps. The tonal clarity coming from these C10Qs is unmatched. And they help enhance the reverb too! If you have a Fender amp and are looking for replacement or upgrade speakers, these are definitely the way to go!!
The C10Q is hands down, the BEST 10 ceramic speaker made... period. Great tone, and reliable. What more do you want?
I bought 4 C10Qs for my 70's Fender Super reverb amp..and I couldn't be more delighted with the quality and sound these things produce..they really seem to suit this amp well..My old amp sounds better than ever! Thanks Jensen!
Yes the Jensen C10Q that I ordered from you guys is a great speaker. Plugged into my 5w tube head, it sounds full and the clarity is amazing. If your looking for clean a sounding speaker that is also sensitive to natural overdrive, get this speaker.
I purchased a C10Q for a handmade pine practice amp cabinet to go with a high gain low wattage head. I couldn’t be happier with the way the C10Q sounds with the amp. This speaker is the voice of pure rock n’ roll.
Through a period of playing with a very loud country band, I found the opportunity to purchase additional Jensen speakers and settled on the Jensen C10Q model, using 2 -25 watt models and 2 -35 watt models (which really tightens up the low end). The tone of these speakers with the Bassman combo is too good to be chance alone. They are spectacular with Strats, Teles and my '83 Ibanez AM-205 Artist with humbuckers. Bell-like highs and harmonic grind is not lip-service for these speakers...they deliver consistently satisfying tone every day. When this amp hits the cusp of overdrive(4-5), it's a glorious tone that has a wetness that really brings out the nuances, especially if you are using fingers on the strings. The Jensens are voiced very specifically for the tonal range of any guitar I use. Country, Jazz, Blues, Funk and Rock are all well-served by Jensen quality and mystique. I hope the Jensen engineers never mess with a good thing! You guys got it right with this design! Don't change anything! Please! Thank you Jensen!
