The C8R is the little gem in the Jensen Vintage series. It delivers a solid compact tone that defies its size. Extremely versatile, it finds application in small home and student amplifiers; but with a microphone in front, it is capable of transferring on tape some of the biggest tones ever. Not by chance, the vintage Fender® Champ® amplifiers produced with the C8R speaker are treasured by many players as a great studio tool.

User Reviews

I changed the speaker in my small amp Fender LT25. To my ear I got much more pleasant lows, I can finally hear mids, and highs are still good. Now my amp is much better and it is much easier to hear the difference when I adjust basic parameters on the front panel. It can also be heard more clearly when I turn on/off compressor :) Very happy.

I used two of these speakers (8 ohm in parallel) in a clone of the Magnatone Melodier 109 that I built. They turned out to be a perfect match for the self-split push-pull circuit. They have a rich sound when played clean, and they handle the output-tube distortion that the amp produces beautifully. Absolutely perfect for blues. And the price is right! My go-to 8" speaker.

Sounded great in a 1973 Bronco I installed it in.

I was a little hesitant that this speaker would work for my unique application. I'm not using it for a guitar amp but as a replacement speaker for a 1948 AM/FM/Phono radio that the original 10" speaker was missing. It turns out this speaker works great. I went with the 8" version instead of a bigger one to get a greater frequency range and am glad I did.

This thing rocks even though the tube amp is only putting out 5w.

I did purchase a C8R 4ohm speaker to use with my kit amp: The speaker is a good match for this amp and has considerable volume capabilities.
